Sunday July 3, 2016 11:00AM Walk Kittatiny Valley State Part & Brown Bag Lunch We will meet at the parking lot , then walk to the runway to watch the planes and eat our lunch. Directions: From RT. 206 in Andover to Goodale Rd., PARK will be on the right. From Newton Sparta Rd. to Lake Iliff Rd. by town hall; at traffic light turn right onto Goodale Rd, PARK will be on left. Saturday July 9, 2016  4:30PM Hawthorne Caballeros "Grand Prix" competition in Clifton. It will be held in the Clifton High School Stadium. We will car pool from the Willow Brook Mall in Wayne behind the NJ Transit pick up, directly across from Lord and Taylor. You can pack something to eat or purchase something from the food concession. Sunday July 10, 2016 11:00 AM Picnic Brundage Park Randolph, NJ Come join us for one of OSF fantastic summer picnics. Admission is $6 and please bring a dish to share. We’ll have hot dogs & hamburgers with all the fixings-- also water & ice. We’ll start cooking about 11:00AM. Directions: Take Rt 287 to Exit 39  RT 10 (towards Dover)  Stay on RT 10 for about 6 miles—take the jug handle past Nagel’s Candy Store for Millbrook Ave, go ACROSS RT 10 for about 5 miles. You will pass Resurrection Church (on right) Firehouse (on left) to Carrell Rd. make a RIGHT –go about 1.5miles and on your left is Brundage Playhouse and the park. Saturday, July 16, 2016 6:00 PM Camp Jefferson Amphitheatre Concert & Dinner Evolution – a Journey tribute band.  Enjoy a professional concert under the stars 8 PM at the Camp Jefferson Amphitheatre. The concert will be moved to the Jefferson High School auditorium on Weldon Road in case of inclement weather.  Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased at the venue that evening. Saturday, July 23, 2016 5:30 PM, Trilogy Repertory Theatre presents “In The Heights”, Plays in the Park Outdoor Amphitheater, Pleasant Valley Park, Valley Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.  Admission is FREE.  Meet at 5:30 PM for an 8:00 PM show.  You need to come early to set up your chair and reserve your space at the amphitheater.  This has been a favorite event for many years. Bring a picnic meal, non alcoholic beverage, lawn chair, sweatshirt/jacket and flashlight.  We eat in the picnic area near the amphitheater.  There are also paved walking trails.  Rain cancels.  DIRECTIONS:  I-287 South to Exit 26 (Mt. Airy Rd.)  Left off ramp onto Mt. Airy Rd.  Follow to 2nd traffic light (Route 512, Valley Rd.).  Left at this light onto Valley Road and travel about 1/2 mile to the park on the left.  Enter the park and continue down the hill and over the stream and park in any of the lots near the tennis courts.  .  For more information contact outdoorsinglefriends@gmail.com.

 

Sunday July 24, 2016 11:00 AM Hudson Valley Chalk Festival Water Street Market, Main Street, New Paltz, NY. They will have live music, a raffle, face-painting, and many more fun activities for everyone. They will have 21 professional artists this year from all around the United States to create some wonderful works of art. We will meet at 11:00 AM in front of the Water Street Market Entrance in New Paltz, NY. Saturday August 6, 2016 10:00 AM Park Lake Walk and Lunch at Pot Belly We will meet at the Gazebo. Once around the lake is ¾ of a mile, we will try to go around 4 times (you can go around as many times as you like). After our walk we will go to the Pot Belly for lunch. Directions:Take Rt. 80 to Exit 35 toward the Rockaway Mall, left onto Mineral Spring Rd., right onto Fleetwood Rd., right onto Mt.  Wednesday August 10, 2016 10:00 AM Walk at the Ramapo Reservation , Route 202, Mahwah, NJ.  This is an easy walk, once around the lake is approximately 1 mile. Lunch will follow at Portabello Restaurant which is also located on RT 202. Exit 58 from RT 287N. Left on RT 202. Reservation is approximately 2 miles on the left.
