Sunday October 2, 2016 11:00 AM Appalachian Trail Walk & Lunch We will meet at George’s Inn on
Route 94. We will then car pool to the boardwalk on the Appalachian Trail for a nice easy 2 mile walk across
Pochuck Valley in Vernon. After we will have lunch at George’s Inn on Route 94 in McAfee. Directions: Route
23 North to intersection of Route 94 and Route 23 in Hamburg. Right onto Route 94 North for 2.5 miles, George Inn is on your

Saturday October 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM Hudson Farms Hike Charity Hike. Free. Hudson Farm will make a charity
donation of a dollar for each year of your age. We will meet AT THE REGISTRATION DESK at 10am. This is a challenging hike
involving uneven ground and hills. Wear sturdy shoes and if you like, take a walking stick. After the walk, lunch for all
will be provided by Hudson Farm. Directions: Rt. 80 W to exit 25. Proceed for 1/4 mile, bear left onto Rt. 206 N. At
third traffic light, turn right onto Lackawanna Drive (Rt. 607S), near the Shop Rite Plaza. Continue for two miles, (see Lake
Lackawanna on your right). At the stop sign go straight, but veer to your right a little. Proceed through a tunnel and continue
for 1/2 mile. Come to flashing red light, turn left onto Stanhope Road (Rt. 605 N). Continue for 500 yards. See a gap

Sunday October 16, 2016 11AM Camp JeffersonMeeting Acupuncture Lecture & Trail Maintenance. The October
Meeting will feature Katy Lin Lac., MSN who will speak to us on acupuncture, an alternative medicine commonly used for pain
relief, though often used to treat a wide range of conditions. Katy is a trained practioner and has her own clinic located
in Morris Plains. We will be having coffee and bagels. Then at the end, we will need to do some trail maintenance around the

Thanksgiving Feast. Price/person is $10.00 and a dish to share. Since only 80 members are able to attend, please make your
check payable to OSF and mail it to Donna Gorman, 103 Drake Lane, Ledgewood, NJ 07852 to reserve your seat. Please call Donna

monthly meeting for reservations and helpers. We still need helpers to clean up, if you are willing to help with this task,
please call Sharon Mahedy - 973-334-2594. All hot foods need to be hot when brought to Camp Jefferson and in the serving pans
that will be given out at the October meeting so everything fits into the warming trays. All meats need to be sliced (unless
you have spoken to Joan Behonick about this) - all hot foods need to be at the Camp by 10:30AM. As usual, all proceeds from
this event will be going to local charties!!!!!!!
